The rims of my earthenware cups are often chunky and uneven - revealing the natural process marks of the stretched and folded clay. When still damp, the cup is dipped in a pink 'slip' (liquid clay bath) then other colors are layered on top and the drawings are etched through the slip to reveal the rich, brown clay body. White interior and shiny clear glaze exterior. Food-safe, limit dishwasher and microwave use.
